FRANCESCA AND CLIFFORD

Story

Picture

We met playing in the Norfolk based Reggae and Ska band “The Mangoes” Francesca was one of 3 vocalists - Clifford was one of 3 in the horn section.

We were part of the Norwich Boswells night club jamming, big band and workshop scene in the late 90s.

When that ended in 2000 we moved the scene - with Arts Council and Community Champions funding - into the now fondly remembered  Jazz and Blues Project at Norwich Arts Centre.

We attended the  Berklee Jazz Summer School in Umbria  in 1997.

From 2011 - 7  we lived in Italy - studying at the Siena Jazz Institute and launched our first studio album Song Noir: Five Songs

2020 - 1 saw us revive the Jazz and Blues project as a live-streaming and fund raising platform to support musicians in need during the pandemic.
